PESTICIDES

PA 1 Safe Use Pesticides:

A one-day classroom course covering legislation, safe handling mixing and storing, understanding label information, environmental issues, record keeping, transport and safe disposal of containers. The course is followed by an online NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment. This qualification is required before the operator can progress onto further pesticide modules.

PA 2 Sprayer – Hydraulic Nozzle, Air Tec, Air Sleeve

A one-day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the use of the machine. Training to cover self-propelled, trailed or mounted machines, either hydraulic nozzle, airtec or air sleeve. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

PA 4 S & G - Slug Pellet or Granular Application

A one-day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the safe and legal application of products, either slug pellets or granules. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

PA 6 A and PA 6 W - Hand Held Knapsack Applicator

A one-day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the safe and legal application of products using a knapsack sprayer, or tank with a hand lance. PA 6 W training covers the use of pesticides near or on water. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

PA 9 Fogging, Misting, Smokes

A one-day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the safe and legal use of applicators and products. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

PA 11 Seed Treatment

A one-day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the safe and legal use of seed treatment equipment. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

PA 12 Continuous Conveyor / Roller Table

A one-day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the safe and legal use of products applied over a conveyor or roller table. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

PA SC Special Category

A one day course covering both the theory and practical knowledge required for the safe and legal use of applicators which do not fit into any of the above pesticide modules. The training is followed by an NPTC / City & Guilds Assessment, on successful completion the operator is awarded a Certificate of Competence.

NRoSO Update

A selection of half and one day course to update qualified operators on spraying procedures, products, environmental issues, latest technology and other areas in order to access NRoSO CPD points as required.
